Once every blue moon Falmouth’s infamous surf beach Gylly Beach comes alive. Last Friday happened to be one of those days.
Within ten minutes Gylly Beach’s greyish and seaweed drenched waters were packed with eager surfers. Exchanging ride after ride they were being watched on by an even bigger breakfast crowd from the beach’s own Gylly Beach Café.
While Gylly Beach (as usual) worked best from low- to mid-tide, Gylly Reef – Gylly Beach’s big brother on the far right – delivered rights and lefts during high tide.
Living in The Beach House right next to Gylly Beach I thus happened to surf my new home spot for the very first time! Friday and the day after that…
