Around Falmouth there’s no doubt that spring is trying to make it these days. Yellow gorse is virtually everywhere. And for the week prior to the bank holidays it seemed as if the sun had finally won its never ending battle against one of Britain’s finest – the rain, drizzle and mizzle.
A week on the situation in Cornwall is back to normal. Liquid sunshine has taken over again. But as always in this windy corner of the continent dry spells give the pale faced the chance to grab the chance of getting tanned.
Even if that rarely works going for a walk from Falmouth to Flushing is well worth it – no matter what the weather.
