It’s been a week-end like no other. While Germany’s shivering under 30 cm of snow, Cornwall’s weekend warriors took to its beautiful beaches en masse.
With ridiculous amounts of sunshine, constant offshore winds and reasonable swell in the water anyone bold enough to enter the cold Atlantic was in for an amazing experience.
Even though the waves weren’t as good as they’d eventually become at the start of this week, there were plenty of ripable shoulders around for all levels of surfers.
Still, with all the beach lovers, dogs and horses roaming Gwithian’s beach and dunes it was more crowded on land than it was in the line up… Fair enough, considering that the air temperature made it feel like spring.
Hopefully I managed to capture at least a little bit of that feeling on my first ever digital SLR video…
